President Donald Trump said today that Bitcoin and Ethereum will be included in his proposed US crypto reserve, expanding the plan that featured XRP, Solana, and Cardano.
The proposed policy would establish government holdings of crypto assets as part of US financial reserves, similar to gold. Trump critiqued the Biden administration for what he called “corrupt attacks” on crypto, referring to SEC enforcement actions against companies including Ripple, Binance, and Coinbase under Chair Gary Gensler’s leadership.
