BNB Hits New All-Time High as BTC Nears $120K; $172M in Shorts Liquidated
According to Binance and CoinGlass data, over $231 million in leveraged positions were liquidated in the past 24 hours as Bitcoin soared to $119,520 and BNB reached a new all-time high of $827.
Short positions accounted for $163.5 million in losses, while long liquidations reached $67.5 million. Ethereum led the liquidation charts at $55.28 million, followed by Bitcoin ($40.81M), Solana ($4.52M), and Dogecoin ($5.32M)
In total, 90,806 traders were liquidated across major exchanges. Binance saw the largest wipeouts with $18.88 million in liquidations, 66% of which were shorts. The single biggest liquidation? A $2.68M ETH-USDT position on HTX.

Japan’s Metaplanet Buys 780 More BTC
Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has expanded its Bitcoin treasury once again, acquiring 780 BTC and pushing its total holdings to 17,132 BTC—now worth over $2 billion.
- The latest purchase was funded through stock issuance in July, with over 23 million new shares issued to redeem bonds and fuel Bitcoin acquisitions.
- This move is part of Metaplanet’s ambitious “555 Million Plan,” which aims to accumulate 100,000 BTC by the end of 2026 and 210,000 BTC by 2027.
Joseph Lubin’s Sharplink Now Holds $1.7B Worth of ETH
Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming has deepened its Ethereum accumulation strategy, purchasing 77,210 ETH worth approximately $295 million, according to onchain data from Lookonchain. This brings the firm’s total holdings to 438,017 ETH—valued at around $1.7 billion.
The company is now one of the largest ETH treasury holders globally.
The move follows a string of aggressive acquisitions under the leadership of co-founder Joseph Lubin and newly appointed co-CEO Joseph Chalom, a former BlackRock executive. Lubin is the founder of ConsenSys.
France’s Capital B Boosts Bitcoin Holdings, Achieves 1,409% BTC Yield YTD
Paris-listed Capital B, Europe’s first Bitcoin treasury company, has confirmed the acquisition of 58 BTC for approximately €5.9 million. This brings the firm’s total holdings to 2,013 BTC—valued at around €182.9 million as of July 28, 2025, based on an average acquisition price of €90,863 per BTC. The recent purchase was enabled by two capital raises: €5 million fully subscribed by Blockstream CEO Adam Back and €1.6 million via a capital increase program with TOBAM.
Since the start of 2025, Capital B has achieved a year-to-date BTC yield of 1,409.8% and a BTC gain of 563.9 BTC, equivalent to €57.6 million. The company continues to double down on its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
